Seafood Fest

This weekend is the Ballard Seafood Fest. I plan on eating fish and looking for Vikings. Other than that I don't know but it sounds like a good time.

I am also looking forward to going into some of the shops down there. It seems like there are a lot of cute shops on NW Market St.

It is a little cloudy and cool today (haha I know it is Seattle, but really it has been warm and sunny). I thought the cats would be in their fancy condo, but they are curled up in the dead grass. I like to lay in bed with the breeze blowing in and get curled under my big feather comforter, so I guess this is their equivalent.

War Games 25th Anniversary

This Thursday theaters around the country are showing War Games in honor of their 25th anniversary. We of course are going being nerds that we are. I don't remember much about the movie but Chris got very excited when we saw the poster. Doesn't it take place in Seattle? Or near by? And Mathew Broderick is always a joy to watch, especially when he was young. Ahhh Ladyhawke . . . .

Monday morning internet finds

This was on Not Martha this morning. I hear at least half of these words everyday. Does that make me a geek? Probably not, but there are other things that do.  

I also saw this on Daily Candy. I havn't clicked around much yet, but it seems a lot like Etsy. A place to buy/sell cool crafty things.

Wednesday morning nerdy fun

Finally Spacedhas come out on DVD for the US audience.

 

I have been waiting years for this. This is the series where I first fell in love with Simon Peg (Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz). Thank you Pop Candy for delivering this glorious news. In her piece she has a link to an interview and a link to their US tour schedule.

BBC America is running marathons also. I don't have cable anymore but those of you who do . . . .

If you haven't heard Joss Whedon has been working on an Internet musical and it has finally been released. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blogis up and running. The first act was released yesterday and the next two installments the 17th and 19th. Neil Patrick Harris is Dr. Horrible. With all the wit and goofiness that he brings to How I Met Your Mother, plus excellent singing skills and Joss's tongue in cheek quipy lyrics and duologue what is not to like?

Ah it is nice to watch a Joss in action again.
