Well I just uploaded my pictures from my camera. I didn't realize it had been so long. I have things to post from before Thanksgiving. All in time I suppose. I haven't been doing much since we got back from Thanksgiving due to the morning (all the time) sickness. My hilarious Christmas card idea will be a little late. It will be more like a January, hey remember Christmas? card.
Last night it snowed again. And this time we got a lot of it. Thursday and Friday we got enough that Chris came home from work early (no one else from his team had come in at all) and Friday didn't even try to go in to work.
This is Thursday or Friday night. There is ice on the street under the snow which has made it hard to travel. We were at Sears the week before and saw snow chains but neither of us thought we would need them. It isn't supposed to snow like this here. Oh well. Next time we will just get them anyway. I am glad we have the Jeep though since it has four wheel drive.
This picture is from this morning.
This is when I took Lola out to pee. I didn't realize until I stepped on it that there was at least a quarter of an inch of ice on top of the snow. Lola was up to her armpits and was startled every time the ice snapped. It was fun for me to walk in though.
Here is Chris shoveling the walk for us. You can see here how deep it is. He had shoveled this the day before so this is all new snow. I like the little cake mounds on the table and chairs. They are perfectly smooth and icy.
Btw the cats have been living in the garage for the last week or so, just so no one is worried. They don't seem to mind the rain but weather in the 20s and 30s is a bit much for them.
Chris has plans to roll around in the snow with Lola later so I will take some pictures of that for you all. I am glad I got a winter coat before we got snowed in. Now I need some snow/rain boots. I have been having trouble finding them in stores so I guess I will resort to ordering on-line. As long as the poor UPS man can make it to my house.
I hope all of you are safe in your travels and last minute holiday shopping.
