Since being pregnant it has been increasingly hard to sleep at night. Either because I cannot get comfortable. Or it is the getting up every two hours to pee, or just waking up every two hours if I don't have to pee. To alleviate some of the problem we bought a 2" foam pad for our mattress. It was about $70 on Amazon. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't make much difference, but hey in the long run it was less than 100 dollars. Well it was worth it. The two inches is just enough to take the pressure off your bones, which is especially helpful when sleeping on your side. Chris is enjoying the added comfort too. He is not one to gush but he tells me every day that he likes it.
Today I went to Jo Ann's, again. I don't know why I torture myself. I should really take the time to find a decent fabric store. Oh how I miss Michael Lavines. (sigh) Anyway I have been doing lots of searching for maternity clothes and or patterns. Neither seem to be easy to find. I don't understand. I see lots of pregnant women and there must have been a lot over time since our population continues to grow. So why aren't there more clothing options for the pregnant woman? I have found some vintage patterns that are really cute, so they use to make them. Of course now I can only find them a 34 bust. Ha not in this lifetime. And even if you aren't busty before, once pregnant you might be. I think I am going to work on making skirts if I need more clothes. I have two pairs of jeans I think that will last me. Once it gets hotter I will make some skirts. I am supposed to wear hose everyday for my vericose veins and I think it will be too hot to layer those under pants come summer. Plus tights with a skirt and boots can be really cute. But anyway I was there again and they had pillow forms 50% off including a "Boppy" shaped one. So I got it for $10. It comes with a pattern on the back so I can make my own covers too.
My bump is looking more like a baby bump instead of just fat or being bloated. I keep forgetting to have Chris take weekly pictures. We took one a couple weeks ago. I need to get back on that.
I have been looking around at baby furniture. I found a crib and dresser I like but it is only online and Chris is not thrilled about buying furniture online. I am also not sure what to get for the first few months when the baby will probably sleep in our room to make late night feedings easier. I don't really want to spend a lot of money on something that only lasts such a short time, but maybe it is worth it not to have to go far at night. Decisions. I am doing this now so I don't stress about it at the last minute. It makes it easier to know I have time.
